Victorian floor restoration
This original Victorian tiled floor was uncoveredĀ in a terraced house in NW10. Like many such floors, it had been tiled over, and was covered in concrete and tile adhesive from the layer put over it.
The house had been going through a major renovation, and the tiles had also been damaged by the builders and had paint splattered all over them. In certain areas, the original tiles were missing where they had been removed in order to lay electrical cables and central heating pipes.
Over the course of five days, I restored the tiles to their original glory, and patched in the missing areas with new reproduction tiles that match the original tiles to the extent that the difference is barely visible to the naked eye.
The first video charts the week I spent on the Victorian floor restoration, and the second shows the full state of the tiles prior to my arrival (my client had made the 2nd video for her You Tube series Renovation House.)
If you have a floor that needs restoring, I’d love to come and take a look at it.
